What are the advantages of being a part of the project?
You will have the opportunity to participate in the social and business life of Sakarya by doing an internship. Perhaps you will get new opportunities in business after your graduation.
Who can participate?
Foreign students studying at Sakarya University and SMEs registered with Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry may participate in this project. Students and businesses are determined by the International Trade Department and SATSO International Business Development Commission by taking into account the demands.
When can internship be done?
You can do an internship during the course period or in summer months, provided that the hours in your course program are suitable.
Does this internship is acceptable as a compulsory internship?
This internship is not accepted as a compulsory internship in your department.
What is the duration of the internship?
The duration of the optional internship and the number of days to work per week shall be determined and arranged by the employer according to the needs of each company. But you can't work more than 8 hours in a day, 24 hours in a week.
Will this project insure interns?
The insurance of interns is paid and monitored by Sakarya University. However, you must have your General Health Insurance.
Will I be paid?
It is recommended to pay at least 500 TL per month for 2018-2019 Academic Year in return for a minimum of 12 hours of work per week. The hourly rate for working hours over 48 hours is at least 10 TL. Payments are made in the first week of each month.
What are the rules to be followed during internship?
- Optional internship practice is carried out by the personnel determined by the enterprises and approved by the university.
- Students' needs such as food, work clothes and service are met to the extent of the facilities.
- Students adhere to the working rules of the workplace.
- Students cannot behave in a manner that disrupts the discipline in the enterprise and are not allowed to participate in trade union activities.
- Students accept and declare that they will not disclose any information within the scope of their work, and shall not disclose to any third party any information of a commercial nature, whether or not considered by them.
Can I change my company?
You cannot change your workplace without the approval of the President of the International Trade Department and the President of the International Business Development Commission of Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
